I have owned shown and bred, various beeds of dogs over the years but
for the last several years I have concentrated on my Beardies Collies and Spanish Water Dogs. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, with the Spanish
being so diverse in their talents, they keep me busy with their endless pursuits. I have been involved with Dog Rescue for many years in the UK, I was the Bearded Collie Rescue Co-ordinator
for East Yorkshire and I also helped my friends with Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue & Springer Spaniel Rescue. Over the years I have studied in Dog Psychology and Dog Grooming. I am currently studying Canine Massage, so
I more or less have all doggie needs covered !!!
Where we live In May 2004 we moved to New Zealand the land of the Kiwi, from our home in East Yorkshire, England.
We lived in the Waikato / Waitomo District which was in the centre of the North Island between Otorohanga and Te Kuiti for
two years. On 2nd June 2006 we moved near Ngunguru in Whangarei, which is in the North of the North Island, our
property was near the beautiful Tutukaka Coast. On the move again - on 11th November 2009 we relocated to Queensland,
Australia.
How Pemontell
originated (Bearded Collies) My
love for beardies began many years ago, and in my search for a beardie I came across Monty, a cross beardie at a rescue centre.
It was love at first sight. Monty blossomed into the most loving, charming friend I have ever had. It wasn't
long before two new additions joined my family, Ellen and then Pebbles.

How Spanish Water Dogs joined us at Pemontell My interest in Spanish Water Dogs started back in 1989 when I was living and
working in Southern Spain, this is where I first saw these terrific little dogs. I was intrigued by their super personalities,
intelligence and magnificent corded coats.
Canagua's Lucia
 Our first Spanish Water Dog
It was many years later, when I was back in the
UK that I finally got a Spanish Water Dog of my own. A litter had been born on 28th Apri 1996 and it was one of
these puppies, Canagua's Lucia that came to join my family in the summer of 1996.

Our Spanish Water Dogs from Benaocaz, Southern Spain
In March 2002, we travelled to
Southern Spain to Collect Berni & Behison, our two new additions to our canine family. They were bred by Jose Garcia
Perez of J.Macelia Kennels in Benaocaz, Southern Spain. Behison has sired some lovely puppies in the UK, he passed on
his lovely nature, Spanish good looks and good confirmation to all of his puppies. Berni had one litter in the UK and
has had puppies in New Zealand. Both Berni and Behison have given us much joy over the years and have left their
mark both in our hearts and our breed line.

Our Spanish Water Dogs from Belgium In
July 2002, we travelled across to Belgium to collect our little Belgium boy, Azar, from Peter Henderckx from Del Pipa Casita
Kennels. It was wonderful to be able to meet all of Peter's dogs and we also attended the World Winner Dog
Show, where we saw numerous Spanish Water Dogs in the show ring. Azar sired some superb puppies while he was in
the UK and here in New Zealand, everyone who meets him totally adore him, he is our special golden boy. Azar is now retired
and is enjoying life down in the South Island of New Zealand.
Azar Cole

Two years later, Cole came to join us at Pemontell from Del Pipa Casita Kennels. He too has turned into
an extremely adorable young man, who melts the hearts of everyone he meets. We have been thrilled with Cole's puppies.
We will be forever in Peter's debt for letting us have these two super boys. The offpsring of these two
boys are the future of our kennel, they have passed on their good looks, great confirmation and awesome natures and we will
forever love them both. Cole headed back to the UK in 2008 for much needed stud duties, he is now retired and is
enjoying life back in Yorkshire.
